Steelers Trade 5th Round 2020 Draft Pick to Seattle for TE Nick Vannett

The Steelers made another trade on Tuesday night and got TE Nick Vannett from the Seahawks for a 5th round draft pick in 2020.

Of course there is lot of speculation that the trade was done because Vance McDonald's shoulder injury is bad. His arm was in a sling on Tuesday at the Steelers practice facility. However, according to a Tweet from Gerry Dulac, sources say that is not the case and the team made the trade to try and bolster the number two spot in that position.

It appears the team is definitely looking at having options in the TE position. In move that kinda got lost in the mix with all of the Vannett news on Tuesday night, the Steelers also signed TE Alizé Mack to the practice squad and released LB Robert Spillane.
