Pittsburgh Maulers Unveil New Mascot

The Pittsburgh Maulers have unveiled their new mascot, and it looks kind of familiar!

They posted a video the mascot on Twitter Monday afternoon and asked what his name should be (see below).

It reminds me of Steely McBeam, the mascot of the Steelers, but a younger version of him. Based on that, my suggestion for a name is Ronnie McBeam (Steely's younger brother).

The Maulers get their season in the USFL started this Sunday, April 17th, against the Tampa Bay Bandits. Kickoff is at 8pm, and the game, which is set to be broadcast on FS1, will be played at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, AL.

All of the USFL's regular season games will be played there this season, and the post season games will be played in Canton, OH at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
