Jim Rutherford’s Son On Dad's Induction Into HHOF: "I'm so proud of you."

Penguins GM Jim Rutherford will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto tonight, receiving recognition for his work as an executive in the Builders Category.

Last night, the Pittsburgh Penguins posted a great video featuring Rutherford’s son, James, reading a letter and handling the narration.

The post on Twitter reads:

Dear Dad,
I'm so proud of you. You have reached the pinnacle of your career. You are the best of the best. What you have done over the last 11 years has been amazing. Though, I've been told you also accomplished a few things before I was born...
Love,
James

The video was also played at a reception to honor Jim Rutherford on Sunday night. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out below, and if you have time, Seth Rorabaugh from the Trib also wrote a great piece about Rutherford that is definitely worth a read!

You can watch the Hockey Hall of Fame induction ceremony tonight at 8pm on NHL Network. An hour long preview show starts at 7pm.
