Behind The Scenes on the Set of "The Long Road Home"

A new series called "The Long Road Home" has started on National Geographic.  It's based on the book by Martha Raddatz, "The Long Road Home," which chronicles the events of April 4th, 2004, when a platoon from the 1st Cav was ambushed in Sadr City, Baghdad.  That attack has come to be known as "Black Sunday."

I started watching it last night, and it is extremely powerful and well done.  Check out the video below for an extended behind the scenes look at the show with the cast, the real soldiers who were there, and their families to see how the events of that day are being brought to life.

"The Long Road Home" is an 8 part mini-series, and new episodes air Tuesday nights at 9pm ET on Nat Geo.
