What's heartbreaking about Keith Godchaux's death, and he had just been canned by the Dead, he was being driven home from his own birthday party & the driver of the car wrecked. Keith suffered massive injuries & died 2 days later (today) in 1980. Keith's wife Donna Godchaux was also a member of the Grateful Dead for all of the 1970's. Keith was only 32.
