Chester Burnett, a.k.a. Howlin' Wolf, was born today in 1910. He & his lead guitarist Hubie Sumlin would knock each others' teeth out in fights. Wolf recorded Willie Dixon songs (Willie also a Chess employee) & helped to make them Classics. Jimi Hendrix started off almost all of his concerts with Howlin' Wolf's "Killing Floor," also covered by Led Zeppelin, "The Lemon Song." Wolf would be 109 today.
