Black Sabbath, as green as green could be when it came to the recording studio, laid down their stunning debut album, the WHOLE THING in LESS than 2 days. Only some vocal tracks and guitar parts were double-tracked, everything else was one take, "live" in the studio. It remains, in just my own personal opinion, Black Sabbath's BEST album ever, and it came out today in 1970. I was 14 years old.
