Before Giant Eagle and Shop And Save, A&P and Kroger's were where I remember My Mom taking us to grocery shop. Cash only (nobody had plastic back then I don't think), no self check-out lines, nothing was scanned (no digital back then), milk in glass bottles, no lottery tickets sold (the PA Lottery didn't exist yet), and no plastic bags! Everything you bought and took home was in paper bags.
