The Beatles Release Let It Be Today 1970, The End

The Beatles had already officially broken up when "Let It Be" came out today in 1970. Billy Preston, Glyn Johns, Phil Spector, George Martin, they all participated in the recording and production of this album, which actually had already been mostly recorded 1 to 2 years earlier. George Harrison briefly quit the band during the "Let It Be" sessions, fed up with all the end-stage Beatles drama happening. But if anything, "Let It Be' proved finally, that these 4 guys could still play better and sound better "live," with very little extra help or studio tricks, than almost any other bands in Rock history ever.  The Beatles Let It Be
