I never knew this, not being a guitar player myself, but I should have known this! Leo Fender was an engineer, not a musician. He would bring in guitarists to test his new creations! Fender Stratocasters, Fender Telecasters, Fender Precision Bass... Leo died in 1991, the Fender Stratocaster is still the most popular and copied electric guitar in the world. .Leo Fender
