Did John Lennon Turn Down "Bangladesh" Appearance?

An unidentified music industry executive has never before seen pictures and (says) he was there for a conversation between George Harrison and John Lennon in July 1971, just weeks before the historic Bangladesh Benefit Concert at Madison Square Garden...did George offer John a guest appearance at the upcoming event??  also (allegedly), John Lennon was in favor of his doing a Bangladesh appearance for his former bandmate George Harrison (if George in fact did offer John the opportunity), until George told John he couldn't bring Yoko!!
