Nike Signs First Pro Athlete w/ Cerebral Palsy

posted by Randy Baumann -

Watch as Nike extends a professional sports contact to Justin Gallegos. A runner with Cerebral Palsy out of Eugene, OR who attends the University of Oregon.

Justin had been working with Nike Sports Lab, who took on the task of creating a customized shoe for him based on his needs and specific gait. He went on to complete a half marathon, with that shoe, with the time of 2:03:49. That is HUGE considering the average half marathon time for all males in 2016 was 2:05:15. Runners World magazine did a feature on him in their 2017 issue of Heroes of Running.

His story is truly amazing and inspiring. Get ready for a giant dose of #RightInTheFeels....
