The Cars' Unreleased Song From Shake It Up Reissue

The Cars are streaming a previously-unreleased 1981 version of their song, “Coming Up You Again”, as a preview to the March 30th release of an expanded edition of “Shake It Up.”

The tune is an early version of “Coming Up You”, which was included on the band's 1987 release, “Door To Door.”

The reissue is available on CD, 2 LP's and digital formats. It's the latest addition to the band’s reissue series deliver the original albums alongside rare and unreleased songs, including demos, remixes and studio outtakes.

The expanded 2018 reissue of “Shake It Up” features a demo of the title track, an early version of “Since You’re Gone,” and an unreleased song called “Midnight Dancer.”

The project will arrive at the same time as an expanded edition of 1984’s “Heartbeat City.”

The Cars will be inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 14th in Cleveland.
