Each year since 1991 on Grammy weekend, the MusiCares Person of the Year benefit is held. It recognizes an artist's work and philanthropy. Or, in this case a band: Fleetwood Mac. This was the first time in the award's history that an entire band was honored.
The Grammy Awards are in New York tonight. Normally they are held in Los Angeles (which happens to be the place of origin for "The Mac".
As part of the MusiCares benefit, a number of musicians perform cover versions of the honorees' songs, followed by the actual artist performing.
