Pittsburgh native Michael Keaton will host a TV special called 50th anniversary “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood”. The retrospective is called “Mister Rogers: It’s You I Like” and will air on WQED on Tuesday, March 6th at 8:00pm.
Keaton, who worked as a stagehand and occasionally appeared on the “Neighborhood” in the early 1970s, had previously hosted another Mister Rogers special, produced by Rick Sebak.
The pledge special will feature celebrities Sarah Silverman, John Lithgow, Judd Apatow, Whoopi Goldberg, among others, replays of clips from the show, and memories of some of the cast who were on-set including Mr. McFeely, Joe Negri, Yo-Yo Ma and others.
