Pgh Native NHL'er Offers "Sweeties" to Benefit CHF

Remember when pro athletes graced Wheaties boxes?

For sports lovers, and candy lovers alike, IT'SUGAR has announced a sweet partnership with Pittsburgh native and Florida Panthers center Vincent Trocheck, through a launch of "Sweeties", a limited-edition collection of the all-star athlete's favorite candies.

Twenty percent of the proceeds will benefit Trocheck's hometown charity of choice –— Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. Trocheck's selection is called “Trochex Mix,” and is filled with blue raspberry gummi rings, Sour Power Quattro Doubles, wild cherry gummi bears and beary blue razz gummi bears — fittingly in the Florida Panthers signature team colors.

“I have a major sweet tooth, and I jumped at the chance to showcase my personality through Sweeties' ‘Trochex Mix,' which features my favorite candies. Mixed together, they just happen to fit in with the Florida Panthers signature team colors, making it the perfect collectible for cats fans,” Trocheck says in a news release.

He says he personally chose Children's Hospital as a way to give back to his hometown while giving fans a taste of his personality.

Sweeties are available online and in select stores for $14.99 for a 20 ounce box.
