Fogerty Jam With the Grateful Dead's Garcia & Weir

The show called “In Concert Against AIDS” was held at Oakland Coliseum Stadium in Oakland, California in 1989. The benefit concert lineup included the Grateful Dead, John Fogerty, Los Lobos, Tower of Power, Joe Satriani, among others.

Fogerty opens his set with "Proud Mary" with a backing band of familiar names: Jerry Garcia & Bob Weir of The Dead, Clarence Clemons (from the E Street Band), Randy Jackson on bass (yes, the former American Idol judge) and Steve Jordan (SNL band for many years) on drums.
