We're all hoping Ozzy's able to appear and actually perform in some capacity this Saturday in Birmingham, England, when the original members of Black Sabbath reunite to headline a giant concert called "Back to the Beginning, " billed as Ozzy's last live concert. The show begins at 10am Eastern Time. There have been, you may remember, other times in Ozzy's career when he's called it quits, either with Sabbath or as a solo act. Four tours, to be exact: The first, in 1992, when he was only 43, as he launched the "No More Tours" tour, after the success of the album "No More Tears." After he retired, he got bored quickly, and launched the "Retirement Sucks" tour. Then in 1999, he reunited with Sabbath's Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler to headline "Ozzfest '99'". Ozzy continued on with the two Sabbath guys for "Ozzfest" 2001. The Sabbath guys and Ozzy then split, and they hooked up with Ronnie James Dio and called themselves "Heaven and Hell, and toured that way. After Dio died, they hooked back up with Ozzy for "The End" Tour, the final show of which was called "The End of the End." But it wasn't the end! In 2018, Ozzy launched the "No More Tours II" tour, but after a few months, he sustained a serious spinal injury--that along with COVID derailed that tour. If you're counting, that makes it four times...get more details on all of this here: https://ultimateclassicrock.com/ozzy-osbourne-farewell-tours/
