It doesn't surprise most people much that even as Kiss was ending their touring career last year, Gene Simmons was already starting to work with his solo band, the "Gene Simmons Band," and he's now added 26 Spring dates to his solo band's tour. He talked recently about how totally different this new band is to the days of makeup and pyrotechnics when Kiss toured: " This is more like if your favorite band comes to your house and sets up in the garage and opens up the garage doors and the whole town comes informally and hangs out." The set lists so far on the tour are varied, but include Kiss songs, Gene Simmons solo songs, and covers of rock and blues classics. As to the possibility of Simmons staying away from the stage post-Kiss and just devoting his time to his other business ventures, he says "I tried to stay away from being onstage, but it's too much fun." The 26 Spring dates start April 3rd in Anaheim, end May 22nd in Dallas, and include a May 4th date in Northfield, OH, and a May 8th date in Bethlehem, PA. Here's more from Gene Simmons, as well as how the development of the Kiss concert avatar project's going, and how the sons of Simmons and Paul Stanley are doing as they make music together: https://ultimateclassicrock.com/gene-simmons-interview-2025/
