If you're a Rush fan, you know that surviving members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson said they would never tour again as Rush without Neil Peart, their prolific lyricist and drummer, who passed away in 2020 from brain cancer, but they may be thinking about doing just that, and the person responsible, if it happens, is Paul McCartney. Lee says they all met at the giant benefit concert at Wembley Stadium in London for the late Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters drummer who passed away last year), where McCartney asked Foo Fighter Dave Grohl to introduce him to Lee and Lifeson. As Lee tells it, Paul saw their set, liked it, they all partied together afterwards, got loaded, and Paul was telling them they should get back out on the road. Speaking as a guy who, of course, has suffered losses of bandmates John Lennon and George Harrison, Geddy says Paul told him: 'You know what Ringo always says. It's what we do.' Lee says he's now open to getting back on tour, although nothing's planned yet....here's more from Geddy Lee: https://ultimateclassicrock.com/paul-mccartney-geddy-lee-alex-lifeson/
