Rod Stewart, who's now 78, has been moving away from performing his rock classics for a while now, often doing those old American World War 2 era pop classics, and standards from Gershwin, Broadway, and other pop songs of the 1940's, etc. So when asked during the past couple of interviews he's done, he comes right out and says he's ditching the rock songs that made him famous.: "I don't want to be doing 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy' when I'm 80. I'm not retiring, but this will be the last time we do these songs in America." And: "I want to go on tour with a big band and just play the stuff that I love." So if you catch Rod Stewart on this American tour, which begins Saturday July 29th in Sparks, Nevada, or catch him at the PPG Paints Arena Saturday August 26th, you can still hear the rockers...Here's more from Rod, about what you can expect after that: https://ultimateclassicrock.com/rod-stewart-leave-rock-behind/
