Rock stars and rock bands using prerecorded backing tracks at "live" concerts to enhance their performances. How do you feel about it? The opinions of those very rock musicians varies greatly.. Some bands, like the Black Crowes, think it's flat out wrong. Chris Robinson has said "When you need to use that sh*t, it's time to stop, y'know?" Joe Lynn Turner, who sang for Rainbow, says "it's not being honest. It's pantomine. It's not even karaoke." Other bands, like Motley Crue, admittedly use backing tracks. Zack Myers of Shinedown says "90% of bands do it." Bands like Kiss and ELO have been called on it, and many more....here's a whole lot more on the evolution of bands fudging their instruments and vocals onstage, from the past up until now: https://ultimateclassicrock.com/bands-teleprompters-backing-tracks/
