Am I the only person who went to the Stones concert at Heinz Field this past October and didn't notice Keith Richards didn't have a cigarette hangin' out of his mouth? Keith did an interview with CBS Sunday Morning and said he's been cigarette-free for two years, at the age of 78, and after 55 years of smoking. And that he pretty much just thought he'd had enough of them, used nicotine patches for a couple weeks, but mostly went cold turkey. And he says "Luckily, I just don't miss it." Wow. Check out the segment from CBS This Morning, as well as Keith talking about quitting cigs, his loss of drummer Charlie Watts, and what's going on with the Stones and his side band the Expensive Winos, here.
