I could sit and listen to these stories all night....Alice Cooper, in a recent interview with the BBC, was telling stories of the gang of famous nightly drinking friends back in the 1970's known as the "Hollywood Vampires," which included, among others, Alice, John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, and Keith Moon....Alice said one of his regular jobs was to sit and referee between Lennon and Nilsson after they'd had several drinks and would regularly start arguing politics, and other things....Alice said " If John said black, Harry would say white. If Harry would say republican, John would say democrat." He also mentioned that John would try to get Alice to be more political in his songs, to which Alice replied, " John, you're trying to save the world. I'm just trying to entertain them." Check out more here from Ultimate Classic Rock, including the hilarious things Keith Moon would do, and dress up as, to drink with the guys.
