Fleetwood Mac had lots of albums before the 1975 black and white self-titled release, but it was the addition of Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, and the production work of than pretty much unknown Keith Olsen, and the band's evolution to more of a pop-sounding band that put them on the way to superstardom...Here are ten things you may not have heard about that album...like the band wanted to hire Lindsey Buckingham as its new guitarist, but he told them he wasn't joining unless his bandmate and girlfriend Stevie Nicks was included in the band....also, Fleetwood Mac was not only one of the first rock bands to feature two female members, but have both the female members write songs as well: Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks were responsible for all four of the songs on that 1975 album that were released as singles: Christine's "Warm Ways," "Over My Head," and "Say You Love Me," and Stevie's "Rhiannon"....here are more things you may not know about that famous album.
