Night Ranger's Last Minute Name Change

Singer/guitarist Jack Blades of Night Ranger told a great story in a recent interview about how Night Ranger was never called that until 10,000 copies of their debut album "Dawn Patrol" had already been pressed....Jack says the band, which was simply called "Ranger," at the time, spotted a giant print ad in Billboard Magazine for another band called "Ranger," a country band that had been around for more than 20 years....and according to Blades, when the other members of his band were "freakin' out", Jack told them all since he had written a song for that debut album called "Night Ranger," they should just stick the word "night" in front of "ranger" and become Night Ranger.....here's more of him talkng about all that.
