When you go to a concert, you want to hear your favorite song from that artist--but these artists won't play some of their biggest hits live, and have different reasons for that....Robert Plant hasn't sung "Stairway to Heaven" live since the "Celebration Day" show at O2 Arena in London in 2007, and had only done it once in 1985 and 1988 previously. He's commented that both lyrically and vocally, with respect to attempting to do that song live: "I'm not sure about that." Prince stopped singing "1999" in the early 2000's, for pretty obvious reasons...he said by virtue of the song's title and theme, it had a built in shelf life...Billy Joel won't sing "Just the Way You Are," because it was about one of his ex-wives, and John Fogerty won't sing any CCR Songs because he lost the rights to them in a nasty legal battle, and doesn't want to have to pay to do his own songs...find out why AC/DC won't do "Long Way to the Top," Genesis won't do "Abacab," Eric Clapton won't do "Tears in Heaven," and more, here.
