So I jumped in to look at who the readers of the "Planet Rock" website (based in the U.K.) voted as the best rock guitar solos of all time....Some are legit...Comfortably Numb, Freebird, Van Halen's Eruption, Stairway and a couple of G&R tunes in the top ten of the top 40....but others--WHAT??? One Jimi Hendrix song at #40...no Clapton, no Stones, BUT Y&T made the list....so did freakin' Marillion.....here's more , plus the top 40, according to the readers of Planet Rock - See the list over on planetrock.com
