For the second time, songwriter Jake Holmes has sued Zeppelin's Jimmy Page for copyright infringement for the song "Dazed and Confused," and for the second time, Page is settling the lawsuit. Holmes has always claimed that Page heard Holmes's version of "Dazed and Confused" for the first time back in 1967 when Holmes opened up for the Yardbirds, Page's band at the time. When Page listed himself as the only songwriter for the song, denying Holmes of writing credit and money, that suit was settled with, among other things, Page being forced to change writing credit to "Jimmy Page, inspired by Jake Holmes." Then this past May, after the release of the documentary, "Becoming Led Zeppelin," which included two early live Zeppelin performances of "Dazed and Confused," again with no Holmes songwriting credit, Holmes sued again. According to Reuters, it looks like and agreement has been reached, and a settlement is being put together now.
