A new Bruce Springsteen documentary that premiered over the weekend at the Toronto International Film Festival reveals Bruce's wife, and member of the E Street Band, Patti Scialfa has been living with a rare blood cancer, multiple myeloma, since a diagnosis in 2018. The documentary "Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E St Band," at one point, features Scialfa explaining that she and Bruce were doing shows on Broadway when the diagnosis occurred about the disease of the plasma in bone marrow, and can be monitored to see if there needs to be treatment. At this point, Scialfa says "this affects my immune system, so I just have to be careful what I choose to do and where I choose to go." She adds she is able to sing a song or two at some Bruce concerts-- "that's the new normal for me, and I'm okay with that." The new documentary will be on Hulu and Disney+ starting in late October...here's more, including details about Scialfa's current condition: https://ultimateclassicrock.com/e-street-band-patti-scialfa-cancer/
