Dave Grohl joins Chevy Metal!

NSFW LANGUAGE, probably since it is DAve Grohl and all.....

Apparently playing over a dozen festivals this summer with Foo Fighters isn't enough stage time for Dave Grohl.

Grohl joined Chevy Metal, the covers band started by the late Taylor Hawkins, for more than half their set Monday night at Rock N Roll Pizza Bar in Simi Valley, California.

Grohl played on covers of The Police's "Next to You," Thin Lizzy's "Jailbreak," The Rolling Stones"Bitch," Billy Squier's "Everybody Wants You" and a group of Van Halen songs -- "Everybody Wants Some, " "Jamie's Cryin'" and "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love."

Jane's Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins also joined in on the fun, playing on covers of Queen's "Tie Your Mother Down" and David Bowie's "Moonage Daydream."

The night wrapped up with Grohl and Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers joining in on a cover of AC/DC's "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap."
