John Lennon’s first non-Beatles song, "Give Peace A Chance," was recorded on June 1st and 2nd in 1969.
Lennon and Yoko Ono, with a number of journalists and celebrities present, recorded the song in room number 1742 of the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, Canada. It was officially released a month later on July 4, 1969 with "Remember Love" as the B-Side.
