For the past 2 years I have held an event in Mount Pleasant, PA called Alex's Lemonade Stand Dart Tournament & Benefit. This year will be my third year doing this. Each year seems to grow and be bigger than the year before and I expect this year to be the biggest and most successful yet.
The main event at my benefit is of course the dart tournament. Dart throwers come from all over to enjoy a fun day of throwing darts while supporting a great cause. During the dart tournament, I also run a Chinese auction, and various other activities to raise money for childhood cancer.
This is a charity that is very near and dear to my heart because they are doing everything in their power to battle childhood cancer. Cancer is a terrible thing to go through, and being a child going through that I can't imagine how hard that must be, but I can help to hopefully one day end it! Last year we raised over $1,800 and we are expecting to top that this year.
