Dan Rooney was born in 1932, his father Art founded the Pittsburgh Steelers...He was also the US Ambassador to Ireland, and Dan is in the Pro Football Hall Of Fame as well....A Duquesne University guy...I met Dan Rooney several times over the years, he was always the perfect Irish Catholic gentleman...Our deepest sympathies to the Rooney family from all of us at WDVE...
