Ed Sheeran seems like the sort of guy you'd want to have as your friend. However, there is some reluctance like the moment he got drunk and hit a friend in the face with a golf club. That's what went down when he and Jusin Bieber once took to a golf course in Japan.
In an interview with The Guardian, which was published just a day before the release of his new album, Divide, the iHeartRadio Music Awards performer spoke about the mishap, revealing that it was "one of those 'What the f**k?' moments" straight out of the movies. "We were in Japan. We'd been out to a dive bar. He just drank water and I got hammered," he explained. Then we went to a golf course, and he lay on the floor and put a golf ball in his mouth and told me to hit it out of his mouth. I was like, 'F**k, I need to aim this properly,’ and I swung."
Unfortunately, his aim wasn't entirely on point and he ended up missing the ball and hearing a sound that you only typically experience as a movie sound effect. "You know in films when someone gets punched, and you hear that fake sound, like a slap? But in real life when someone gets punched, you hear that dull thud, a bit sickening?" he asked. "I heard a sound like the last one, and saw his security guard looking at me like 'I'd cracked Justin Bieber right in the cheek with a golf club.'"
Note to self: Do not let Ed anywhere near golf clubs
