EARTH, WIND & FIRE ANNOUNCE CONCERT AT UPMC EVENTS CENTER DURING HOMECOMING WEEK
Tickets On Sale To Public Starting Friday, August 12 at 10AM
PITTSBURGH, PA (Aug. 5, 2022) – Legendary music group Earth, Wind & Fire will perform at the UPMC Events Center on Robert Morris University’s campus on Oct. 8. Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m., Aug. 12 via Ticketmaster.
Earth, Wind & Fire are a musical institution. 2020 marked a year-long celebration of their 50th anniversary in entertainment – one that has taken them all around the globe playing sold out concerts. The band has scored eight number one hits, have sold over 100 million albums worldwide and released 23 albums. Eight of those albums went Double Platinum and hit the Top 10, making them one of the best-selling artists of all time. They've won an impressive nine Grammy Awards including one for Lifetime Achievement (2012). In 2000, Earth, Wind & Fire was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, cementing their lasting impact on popular music.
The music of Earth, Wind & Fire is more alive than ever as they continue to inspire new audiences and thrill those who have been with them from the beginning. The concert will close out a week of historical festivities across RMU’s campus for the 2022 homecoming celebration. Other notable events taking place during homecoming weekend include the inauguration of Robert Morris University’s ninth president, Dr. Michelle L. Patrick, an alumni brunch and the RMU Colonials football game vs Gardner-Webb. More information relating to homecoming activities will be forthcoming on the University website.
Presale opportunities for the Earth, Wind & Fire concert will be available beginning at 10 a.m., Aug. 10. Individuals may sign up for the UPMC Events Center Insiders Club to receive access to the venue’s presale opportunities for this concert as well as future concerts and shows at the event center.
