We got word earlier this week that Steely Dan would not be opening for the Eagles Farewell tour date this Sunday at PPG Paints Arena--the only explanation being that there was "an illness in the band." Now, it's being reported that lead singer Donald Fagen had been hospitalized, and is now out of the hospital. No one has disclosed the reason for his hospital stay, but coincidentally or not, 5 member of the Eagles road crew have tested positive for COVID. Steely Dan's been off the road from the tour since after their show with the Eagles September 20th, and they are scheduled to get back on the tour November 2nd in Atlanta. The Vince Gill Band will now open for the Eagles when they come here this weekend. Here's more: https://ultimateclassicrock.com/donald-fagen-steely-dan-hospital/
