The Lynyrd Skynyrd/ZZ Top show coming to The Pavilion at Star Lake on September 3rd will be just fine...Lynyrd Skynyrd has released a new statement that says after the death of the last original member in the band, Gary Rossington, on March 3rd from many years of heart issues, the band was "unsure" of how to proceed. Then after discussions with the families of the late original singer, Ronnie Van Zant, the late Allen Collins, and Rossington's wife, Dale Rossington, they concluded that continuing to perform live "is in the best interest of the fans and everyone involved." Dale Rossington adds about husband Gary: "While he was not able to physically be onstage with the current lineup over the last couple of years, he supported them in every way."

Here's more about how the band will continue on, including more from Dale Rossington, and current frontman Johnny Van Zant, who now becomes the most tenured member of the band, having stepped in in 1987 to do the vocals that his late brother Ronnie made famous.
