Stevie Nicks wrote a heartfelt tribute to her "best friend," Christine McVie, who has passed away.
McVie, who was 79 years old, died at a hospital on Wednesday morning after a short illness, with family by her side.
Nicks posted photos of a handwritten tribute she penned for McVie.
It starts with, "A few hours ago I was told that my best friend in the whole world since the first day of 1975, had passed away. I didn’t even know she was ill until late Saturday night.”
She added, “I wanted to be in London; I wanted to get to London — but we were told to wait."
Nicks also included the song the lyrics for “Hallelujah” by the group Haim.
