In this time of the year where motorcyclists are riding as much as possible before summer ends, we're goin' back to review some of the nastiest rocker motorcycle crashes, some of which threatened the rocker's livelihood, and in a few cases, proved fatal....Billy Joel, who's playing PNC Park Thursday night, had to go through surgery and a lot of rehab for a thumb and wrist injury suffered when he hit someone who ran a red light back in 1982...Billy Idol had, not one, but two, crashes--He ran a stop sign in 1990, crashed--and though he wasn't wearing a helmet, had no serious head injuries, but fractured his forearm and severely damaged his lower leg, which doctors, at one point, considered amputating...Idol also fractured a foot in a 2010 crash....
