PITTSBURGH, PA (August 10, 2022) Women will rock Stage AE in Pittsburgh, PA on Saturday, October 15th as the 5th annual Women Who Rock Benefit Concert Presented by Gibson Gives returns as a live, in-person concert event. Women Who Rock connects through the power of music and helps educate, support and fund women-centric health research. This year’s annual Women Who Rock Benefit Concert on October 15th will star singer-songwriter and American Idol winner Jordin Sparks.

Jordin Sparks is a GRAMMY nominated, multi-platinum, singer/songwriter and actress who, in one of the show’s highest rated seasons, garnered worldwide attention as winner of season six American Idol. Sparks was just seventeen years old when she won the coveted title. Her self-titled debut went platinum, selling over two million copies worldwide. The first three singles of "Jordin Sparks" went top five and the album’s second single, “No Air” sold four million digital downloads. “No Air” has the distinction of being the third highest selling single by any American Idol contestant and is listed #27 in Billboard’s Top 40 Biggest Duets of All Time. Sparks’ second release, “Battlefield,” debuted on the Billboard Album chart at number seven. Cumulatively, Sparks popular singles have sold over 10 million digital tracks in the US. She considers philanthropy an integral part of her life and was recently profiled by CNN Heroes and Dress for Success for her charity work.

The 100% female-fronted music lineup will feature special guest triple-threat rock & roll singer-songwriter-guitarist and producer from Austin, TX Emily Wolfe. Wolfe is on a mission to breathe new life into classic rock & roll with her incendiary guitar chops and original songwriting. Wolfe’s creative songwriting, powerful lead vocals, and dominating guitar style has led her to share stages with Heart, The Struts, The Pretenders, White Reaper, Joan Jett, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and more Local performances on the 84 Lumber stage include Tiny Wars featuring guitarist Abby Krizner from IHEART RADIO 105.9 The X, and DJ Huny.

This year Dr. Lisa Rohan will receive the 2022 Women Who Rock Impact Award presented by Peoples, an Essential Utilities Company. Dr. Rohan has spent significant time developing products designed to prevent HIV infection in some of the world’s most vulnerable populations, particularly sub-Saharan Africa, where infection rates are highest and numbers continue to rise in the 15-24 female age group. Currently, human clinical trials are underway for a nasal spray developed by Dr. Rohan’s lab to provide 24-hour protection against COVID-19.

Host of IHEART RADIO 102.5 WDVE Michele Michaels will return for the fifth year in a row as the emcee.
