Whether it's because classic rock fans don't know if they'll ever get to see their favorite bands again because of the age of the artists, or because classic rock fans just like the live music experience more than lovers of other musical genres, but fans of classic rock are shelling out more to buy a concert ticket that anybody else, according to a study published by FinanceBuzz....they measured concert tours between the years of 2017-2021, and found that fans paid an average ticket price of $119.14 for classic rock shows, $100.65 for pop shows, $82.76 for hip-hop, $63.54 for alt rock shows, and the cheapest ticket was for Christian rock shows at around $40 (these are just some of the music styles listed in the study) ...as far as the single highest average ticket price during those years, Bruce Springsteen comes in highest, mostly because of his "Bruce on Broadway" series, at $508.93....Lady Gaga was second at $337.43....having said that, pop tours brought in more money total than classic rock tours--pop at 38.6 million dollars per tour, rock at 35.5 mil per tour...here's a lot more: https://ultimateclassicrock.com/classic-rock-concert-ticket-prices/
