Eddie Vedder paid tribute to the late Mark Lanegan at his show with The Earthlings on Tuesday night in Seattle.
Lanegan, the lead singer and co-founder the Screaming Trees and former member of Queens of the Stone Age, passed away on Tuesday morning at the age of 57.
Lanegan, who is originally from Washington State, is credited as an architect of the grunge movement in Seattle back in the day, and Screaming Trees have played shows with Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Soundgarden.
Vedder said, "He’s gonna be deeply missed, and at least we will always have his voice to listen to and his words and his books to read, he wrote two incredible books in the last few years. Just wanted to process it and put it out there, let his wife and loved ones know that people in his old stomping grounds have been thinking about him and we love him."
