Former NFL coach Marty Schottenheimer has passed away. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2014.
The Canonsburg, PA native played for the Bills and Patriots from 1965 to 1970, and then later served as head coach of the Browns, Chiefs, Washington Football Team, and Chargers.
Scott Fowler from the Charlotte Observer broke the sad news on Twitter, and said he peacefully passed away on Monday in Charlotte, NC with his family by his side.
Schottenheimer was 77 years old.
