Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey honored fallen police officer Eric Kelly, a Pittsburgh police officer killed in the line of duty in 2009, by wearing his name on the back of his helmet during the Steelers vs. Broncos game yesterday. Pouncey was one of several players to change the name on the back of his helmet for Week 2.
Benny Snell had Breonna Taylor's name on his helmet, and QB Ben Roethlisberger's helmet read, "It Takes All Of Us."
Cam Heyward and James Connor were among the players that had "End Racism" on the back of their helmets, and according to ProFootballTalk.com, Terrell Edmunds had "Black Lives Matter" on his.
Some players chose to not have a name or phrase on their helmet, while others continued to wear Antwon Rose, Jr.'s name.
Alejandro Villanueva was still wearing the name of fallen Army war hero Alwyn Cashe on his helmet.
