The Real Dish on How Queen/Bowie's "Under Pressure" Came Together

You may have heard or read somewhere along the way that David Bowie, genius that he was, was a bit of a control freak. This won't change that. According to an interview with Queen guitarist Brian May, Queen and Bowie went into the studio to work on the song they originally were calling "People on the Streets." After Roger Deacon started playing what would be the now famous bass line to "Under Pressure," Bowie reached over to him and said, "No, don't do it like that." Deacon replied "Excuse Me? I'm the bass player. This is how I do it."
