Earlier today in Westmorland County, state troopers pulled over a car that failed to change lanes for a turnpike vehicle with its lights on. This ordinary vehicle stop turned into the largest Fentanyl bust in state history according to police.
During a search of the vehicle, authorities discovered a hidden compartment containing 3.5 POUNDS of Fentanyl. They believe the drugs were on their way to Pittsburgh for distribution across western Pa.
"This is what you’d see out of a movie. That package would go to an area where it was cut with different agents, cut over and over again to where that’s over $1 million worth of street value in a 3.5-pound package," State Trooper Steve Limani said.
